| Should you "create your own wedding website or not". That is the question. You're not alone! One of the best things we did to simplify was to include a "we have a website card" in our invitations. This informed everyone that all information regarding the wedding was on our site. For us, it was a really good idea. Since we both had tons of people coming from out of town, having info online really reduced stress! It allowed us to put all of the travel information (air, car, hotel) in one spot that everyone had access to.
This saved us many phone calls with questions about where and when each event was taking place. When I talked to our friends, they said they loved the RSVP feature. In fact, I'd say about 80% of our guests replied online! I know I sure preferred this with my friends wedding. Getting to a postbox can be such a pain. The site allowed us to build a lot of momentum towards the big day. People felt a part of the planning and our families and friends who hadn't met Adrian or I (or our families) got to learn more about us. This helped to break the ice on the wedding day. I'm a pretty shy person. Before this, I thought you had to be an exhibitionist to consider getting a website. The truth is, it gave many people who didn't know us (or our families), a great way to learn about each of us through:

What sets this site apart is the ability to quickly and easily turn your site into a "baby site", "anniversary site" or general "this is what's going on in our lives site". It could stay with you forever. You just change the site design, and voila! Imagine, the site your started for you wedding, could also be your 25th anniversary site!
