Reception Dinner-time Etiquette

by Eatin Order

Hi there.

I am getting married at the end of june and we have almost finished planning everything but the one thing me and my fiance are still lost on are the order in which the tables go up for food.

Do you have any ideas on this situation? I look forward to hearing from you

There's a simple solution

Hi

It's common practice to have the head table served first. Then it basically goes in order of importance, starting with closest family (parents) to important family and then finally to the "least important" guests.

I know all of your guests are important and loved, but this is just kind of how it's done and if anyone has been at a wedding they get it.

Tables are also set up to most important people closest to the bride/groom and least important people farther away.

If you're getting it catered they should understand the protocol and can guide you.

Have fun and...
Happy Planning!
